Baby Shower Plans

Ok, so the baby shower is planned for Monday January 1, 2007. We all decided what better way to start a new year than a celebration of a new life! I will tell you all about it. I purchased some very lovely dresses for the little princess today. I love baby clothes.

More Baby News

Well little Caroline Darlene is home! She gets more beautiful every day! Her eyes are the clearest blue I have ever seen on a baby. Her little lips are a perfect heart shape most of the time and all of the silky dark hair. She looks like a living doll. Darlene and I are off to plan the belated Baby Shower. We wanted to wait till we knew the sex. I am having so much fun!

Her Name is..

Caroline Darlene! They named her after myself and my daughter-in-law’s mom. That is the sweetest thing ever. I am so deeply honored. I think Bob is turning a little green!

It’s a …

GIRL!!!! Yesterday at 4:05 p.m. our new grandchild was born. She is beautiful! She was 20 inches long and weighed in at 7 pounds 5 ounces. She has a head full of hair and big, beautiful eyes! They refuse to tell us the name until our daughter-in-law’s parents arrive tomorrow. So I will let you know. Bob and I are so happy!

Shopping for Baby

Today we went shopping for a few things for the baby. Bob and I purchased a swing, a bouncy chair, a very nice stroller and several unisex outfits. It’s been so long since I shopped for a baby. I feel like I’m 25 all over again!

Still No Baby

Bob and I are enjoying our little vacation from Florida. Still no new grandchild yet. Our daughter-in-law is having false contractions more frequently and “nesting” has set in. She cleans so much I get tired. LOL

Baby Update

We arrived yesterday evening at our hotel and called to let our son know. He was on his way out the door, sure that the baby was on his or her way. Bob and I then spent the next 3 hours on pins and needles waiting to hear something. It was a false alarm! We can report that the baby is in position and has dropped some. The countdown has officially begun!

Let’s Cruise Around The World… the FUN Way

null

The key advantage of a cruise ship is that it does the “getting around” for you. The cruise lines make it easy to visit several places in a single trip without the need to pack your belongings and sit in a car/train/bus/plane to travel to each one; your hotel room comes along with you, and even provides the transportation. Cruise ships are a means of travel with some substantial benefits. But don’t jump ship too soon; this type of vacation takes a considerable amount of preparation and planning. That’s why I’ve put together a handy online cruise travel resource guide which I use again and again to plan my cruise vacations.

Cruising is the BEST way to do a family reunion or to enjoy romantic and exotic getaways for two. I hope you enjoy my blog about how we cruise around the world. Please feel free to come back often and to share your comments and travel adventures with us!

For your convenience, I can also email you our latest updates! As a “thank you” gift for signing up for our email updates, I will send you a FREE copy of my Online Cruise Travel Resource Guide. To get your copy, click here!

If you’ve never cruised before, you don’t know what you are missing. If you are a cruise lover like we are, then “let the good times roll”. Either way, you will enjoy the great cruise resources that I have put together in this Ebook.

Let’s cruise around the world….the Fun way!

Carol

Feels like I am Leaving On a Cruise

I am so excited. Feels just the same as when we are leaving for a cruise. the next couple of days will be spent getting things lined up while we are gone. Making sure the managers at all the restaurants have our contact info, making sure the boat is looked after and making sure I have the number to the closest flower shop so I can send flowers as soon as the baby arrives.

Anytime Now

Just heard from our youngest, the baby could make his or her arrival anytime now. Everything is looking good for both baby and mother. Bob and I have decided to go stay at a hotel just about 15 minutes from where our son lives next week. That way when the baby arrives we can be there to celebrate!

The Opening

The opening went so well. It was as if we had been open for years! The food was perfect, the staff was the best and our customers were fantasic. We seated our final reservations and left our management team to take care of closing and such. This has got to be the smoothest opening ever!

Final Walk-through

What a long day! We did the final walk-through Of the restaurant today. Everything is where it should be, the menus are beautiful, staff trained, management in place, food and drink well stocked and I feel like I am giving birth to my first child! I shall sleep like a baby tonight.

Bob’s World

Bob and I spent the past few days, almost a complete week, on the water. We took the boat out, left our cell phones, laptops, and portable tv all home. It has been the most wonderful mini-vacation we have ever had. And the best part, nothing feel apart without us. I do have to say it feels good to be home and the grand opening for the restaurant is only 2 days away. I am so thrilled with all the progress that was made in the past two weeks. The place looks like a piece of Italy and the feel of the place is wonderful. I can not wait!
