Yesterday we traded our boat for a bigger boat! It is so beautiful. We are selling our house and basically going to live on the boat. We are going to be so busy, I am not sure if I will even have time to get online. I feel like I am truly living my dream.

Bob and I were thinking out loud yesterday and the idea of buying a bigger boat and selling our house came up. We both love the water so very much and we could take some more in depth sailing lessons and sail wherever we wanted when we weren’t on a cruise. We looked at several boats when we purchased the one we have and some of them were nicer than most condos. This may be a truly brilliant idea!

For some sailing! Once I take care of some business matters, Bob and I are going to take the boat out. It’s a perfect day! The sun is brilliant and the temp is going to be just right! The sea is calling my name.

I think I have a problem, I go shopping and I don’t know when to stop. LOL It’s really not that bad, I am just pulling your leg. I did end up buying four pairs of shoes yesterday. I purchased hiking boots for Bob and I and some cross training shoes as well. This way we can walk and hike and not have sore feet. Just like Hawaii, Alaska will require lots of walking and moving. Since we went north to visit the children this past winter, we have no shortage of warmer clothing. We are going sailing today and tomorrow we have a dinner to attend. I just love being busy!

I had no clue that there were so many types of hiking and walking boots! I have tennis shoes, but with all the things we will be doing in Alaska I know we need some really good boots. I feel the best option at this point is to go for professional help. Off to the stores we go!

After the past few days of Alaska research, it was back to business today. We did surprise inspections at two of the restaurants. Only a few things wrong and no one had to be let go. I am ready to go to bed. I wonder if there is a book around here that I have not read more than once?

I have the flight confirmed. We will have a day in Vancouver to see the city. Bob seems to love the idea and is researching all the must see things in the city. I am now wondering if I can wait til June.

I have finally decided on a cruise. It’s Voyage of the Glaciers on the Diamond Princess and we will leave from Vancouver, B.C. on June 23. It’s a seven day cruise, so Bob and I are both happy. I’m off to make our flight arraignments.

I think that I shall remove myself from the computer for today. Bob wants to go sailing today and I have spent way to many hours on here planning the Alaskin Cruise. Besides, there is nothing I have to say that can not wait till tomorrow.

Ann and I have been researching Alaskan Cruises for the past month. Who knew it would be so hard to choose? Bob wants a shorter cruise and I want a longer cruise. I want to make sure we see all the fantastic wildlife, Bob just wants to make sure he can practice his driving. Don’t get me wrong, Bob does want to cruise Alaska, he just doesn’t want to stay long. Once I make a final choice, I will tell you all about it.

I can’t believe it, at just three months she is turning herself over! Before we know it she will be crawling and walking and talking. She is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen!

It’s decided, we will cruise Alaska this Summer! I am ready to start my research. This may include some shopping, isn’t that wonderful???

My new friend Ann just wrote me about an Alaskan Cruise she will be taking soon. From the sound of it, I think I may get Bob to agree to it. I have been researching Alaska and it sounds stunning! It’s not Florida or Hawaii, but it has its own beauty and appeal. I don’t really think it will take much to get his approval on this. Alaska! I never dreamed I would WANT to go there!

Since returning from our cruise, it has been so busy. The restaurants have been booked every night and it seems that all of a sudden no one can function without our direction. Little Caroline D has been sick with a terrible cold and had us all afraid. (She is completely better now.) I think another cruise will soon be on my horizon.

We arrive back in Florida tomorrow morning. This has been one of the best cruises we have ever taken. I am not sure if it was the ship, the staff, the islands or our new friends. I just want to stay on board for another week or so. I always dread the end of the cruise, but never like this. It is amazing how people can touch your life and make such a difference. I must remember to get Ann’s contact information tomorrow morning during breakfast. She is someone I want to stay in touch with.

This cruise is just what the doctor ordered! The Caribbean is beautiful and the weather is perfect! The ship is smaller than most of the ones we have been on before, but I think I actually prefer this. It’s so much more personable and the staff is all so kind and helpful! We have met a lovely couple on their first cruise to celebrate their retirement. They are officially hooked on cruising! Ann and I are off to get a massage and Bob and John are off to do some driving.

Our weekend on the boat turned into our own mini-cruise. We just returned today! We leave tomorrow on our cruise and I have so much work to do today. Busy, busy, busy!

Bob and I are going to take off the next couple of days and have ourselves an early weekend. I am now convinced that purchasing the boat was the best thing we have ever done. When we return on Saturday I am going to confirm our cruise.

Yesterday went better than expected. I only had to send Bob on one trip and that was only because I left a box on the table. We are thinking that a short Caribbean Cruise is in order. About a week or so would be perfect. The weather is great and we both could use some r and r.
